Incredible experience with Ahmed in Luxor! Ahmed was great!My girlfriend and I were in Luxor for two days and we wanted to visit the King's Valley and Karnak. We are both professional tour guides in Pompeii (Italy) so we asked a few colleagues for a contact of an excellent local guide: that's how we met Ahmed!He met us at the bus station right on time with a minivan and a driver, drove us to the hotel and waited for us to have a shower and change our clothes. Then we went to Karnak and spent a long time there. I usually ask (too) many questions but Ahmed was kind and patient and replied every time with plenty of details about historical events and archaeological discoveries.The day after we arrived, we left in the morning to visit the King's Valley, Deir el-Medina, the Colossi of Mennon and the incredible site of Medinet Habu (what a place!). Again Ahmed gave us precise explanations and let us spend a bit of time to observe the breathtaking columns inscribed with beautiful hieroglyphics.So, what else to say...Ahmed is very knowledgeable and kind, he shared with us his passion and treated us like family for a couple of days. Great experiences for my whole family with Ahmed! Me, my wife and my 3 kids stayed in Luxor for 3 days and Ahmed was our guide. He organized an individual tour for us with the focus on the interest of the kids. Beside the common attractions, where he explained the history in a kid-understandable speech, a highlight for the whole family was a stay for a whole day in a local farm, where we could help harvesting the fresh ingredients for our lunch, bake traditional bread, could help preparing traditional lunch and talk to the locals in english. Superb one day tour in Cairo museums I accidentally came across Ahmed from a social media post highly recommending him when I was searching for a local guide knowledgeable in Egyptian history. I booked a one day tour with him in Cairo to visit the two museums and it was amazing! He asked for what I was mostly interested in learning about and made sure that the tour meet my expectations. I learned so much about the ancient Egypt, the key periods, what happened and mostly importantly why it happened - exactly what I was looking for! Ask him anything that you are curious about, the mythology, the hieroglyphs…you won’t be disappointed. Ahmed was super patient and also ensured that the information was not overwhelming. The best tour guide in Egypt ! (Personal experience, not advertisement or paid comment) We have spend two days with our guide Ahmed and we have a really great time ! We have our good and bad time in Egypt. And having a guide like Ahmed will only give you the great time ! No more scam, no more disappointment and confusion with all the chaos and misleading information in Egypt. He can arrange car and experience that you would like to have. Ahmed have great knowledge of Egypt history and culture. With his 18+ years experience as a tour guide with proper license, I highly recommend anyone who would like to travel to Egypt ! The car he arranged for us is so new with professional driver. After the tour, we met up with the Ahmed and his other tour guide friend (professional one), we’ve learn a lot about the Egypt community and culture from them. Trip of a lifetime! The Upper Nile is a world-class treasure trove of priceless historical sites, natural wonders, tasty food and friendly people. Ahmed was as good a guide for our multi-day adventure there as we could have hoped for. He speaks excellent, educated English, is extremely knowledgeable about the long, deep, rich history of ancient Egypt, and is friendly and accommodating. We told him that we would like to get off of the typical tourist itinerary and see how Egyptians lived their daily lives. He arranged a custom tour for us to see the Aswan market area, eat local food like khoshari, Om Ali and hibiscus tea, and to visit a Nubian village upriver from the city. Nahrung für den Magen und das Hirn 😊 Der Ausflug hat sich gelohnt. Der Reiseführer sorgte für eine angenehme Atmosphäre und war sehr hilfsbereit.
